The Liverpool Universities Society of Change Ringers are a group of students who share an interest in church bell ringing. We practice, during term time, every Friday between 18:00 and 19:00 at Saint Francis Xavier Church.
LUSCR welcomes ALL students in higher education in Liverpool and Chester from the following universities:
- University of Liverpool
- Liverpool John Moores University
- Liverpool Hope University
- Edge Hill University
- University of Chester
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never rung before, all you need is enthusiasm and be willing to learn. Change ringing is intellectually stimulating, enjoyable and we can teach you all you need to know.
But that’s not all we do.
We organise a range of ringing and social events throughout the year. Some of them involve ringing, many don’t.
Regular social events include pub crawls, pancake parties and group meals, as well as the local Liverpool district ringing meetings and events. Also on the annual calendar is the Northern Universities Association weekend in November and a Summer ringing tour. The biggest social event on the year is The Annual Dinner – held in fine style in a hotel in Liverpool on the third Saturday evening in February each year.
